Crush Labs

Strength, Skill, and Community for FLINTA climbers.

Want to get stronger, climb better, and level up your skills?
We’re excited to introduce Crush Labs, a women-led training course for FLINTA* (female, female-identifying, lesbian, intersex, non-binary, transgender, and agender) climbers who want strength training, skill development, and a supportive community.

Inspired by the connection and good vibes of our Crush Crew nights, this course creates a welcoming space to build strength, grow confidence, and sharpen climbing skills both on and off the wall. Whether you are new to structured training or already dialing things in, you will get coaching, encouragement, and a crew that genuinely wants to see you succeed.

Each session has two fun, focused parts:

Off-the-Wall Strength Training (1 hour)
  • Coach-led circuit-style workouts
  • Fundamental strength training: eg. squats, pull-ups, presses, core work
  • Climbing-specific exercises using dumbbells, barbells, bodyweight movements
  • Fully scalable — modifications to accommodate all levels, goals, and physical considerations
On-the-Wall Climbing Drills (1 hour)
  • Technique drills: eg. heel hooks, drop knees, back steps, dynamic movements
  • Intentional practice to climb more efficiently and confidently
  • Personalized feedback and emphasis on movement quality
  • Plenty of opportunities to ask questions and refine beta

Most importantly, this is a supportive space for FLINTA climbers to train together, learn together, share stoke, and build confidence on and off the wall.

About Stephanie

Hi, I’m Stephanie. I’ve been climbing for nearly 10 years and have been strength training since I was 16. Over the past few years, my focus has shifted heavily towards bouldering, which pushed me to rethink how I train and how strength work can truly support climbing performance.

I hold a BA in Kinesiology from Western University and an ergonomics certificate from Fanshawe College. I love that climbing allows me to apply my knowledge of movement, body mechanics, and efficient force production in such a practical and creative way. I’ve previously worked as a personal trainer and am currently a Blocs Youth Team Coach, where I help climbers build strength, confidence, and smarter movement habits.

PRE-REQUISITES

  • 16 years old or older
  • Confidently climb most orange tapes (v2-v3) or above at BLOCS
  • Be FLINTA* (female, female-identifying, lesbian, intersex, non-binary, transgender, and agender)

COST

  • $110 + GST*
  • Members receive a 10% discount on this course ($99 + GST).
  • Payment will be adjusted upon registration.

*NOTE: Entry Fee is not included.
