POLICY UPDATE Sept 16, 2021:
In response to Alberta’s state of public health emergency, BLOCS will be implementing the Restrictions Exemption Program to ensure we can continue operating without added restrictions and best serve our community.
As of Sept 20th, anyone 12 or over entering BLOCS will require either:
- Proof of a first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine by at least 2 weeks prior to entry, OR
- Proof of a negative COVID-19 test within 72 hrs prior to entry.
Proof of a second dose is required by October 25th.
Please have your proof of vaccination on hand when you arrive. You can choose to have your vaccination status added to your account, so you won’t need to show proof each time.
You may bring your proof of vaccination now, so we can update your account ahead of time.
For more info on how to access your proof of vaccination, please visit the alberta.ca/covid-19 website.
We understand that these are challenging times and our vaccination policy will be disappointing for some. If you are uncomfortable with our options, you may fill out a freeze or cancellation form through our website.
We greatly appreciate your continued patience as we navigate these difficult times. Thank you so much for your ongoing support and understanding.
PLEASE READ BELOW FOR OUR GUIDELINES
Please read carefully through the information below before coming to BLOCS.
PLEASE STAY HOME if you or someone you are in contact with is unwell.
DO NOT ENTER our facility if you:
- are exhibiting symptoms,

- are required to self-isolate, or
- have travelled outside of Canada in the past 14 days.
NO MORE BOOKINGS
Starting July 2nd, you will no longer need to make a booking to climb at BLOCS. We encourage you to climb during off-peak hours whenever possible.
MASKS ARE MANDATORY
For the safety and comfort of our climbers and staff, we are asking that everyone continue to wear a mask.
We are continuing to monitor capacity and ask that you scan your card at our check-out scanner on your way out of the facility.
WASH YOUR HANDS
Please continue to wash/sanitize your hands upon entry and exit, and throughout your visit.
PHYSICAL DISTANCING STILL WORKS
Please maintain 2m distance from others whenever possible.
BE KIND TO EACH OTHER
Everyone’s comfort level will be different with these changes and that’s ok!
